Welcome

Welcome to the first step in your career. Your future as an engineer is all about you. The right choices and opportunities are there; the challenge is to find them. At Transocean and our wholly owned division Applied Drilling Technology International (ADTI) we are very conscious of how important choosing the right people is for our future. We understand the delicate balance between challenge and opportunity that we have to provide so that individuals can develop their full potential as people, engineers and team players.

We have two graduate programmes which offer the same high level of training and mentoring but two very different career paths; which will you choose?

Transocean

We are the largest and most experienced offshore drilling contractor in the world with twenty-one thousand employees and offices in twenty-four countries throughout the world. We own one hundred and thirty-eight mobile rigs, including jack-ups, drill ships and semi-submersible rigs, some of which are industry leading in their ability to operate worldwide, in ultra-deepwater or harsh-environment drilling conditions. In addition to which, we are investing in nine new builds to ensure our future growth and market strength. At Transocean you can work with some of the most advanced rigs in operation in the world, operations that set records in technical firsts, efficiency and safety.

Transocean’s two year Rig Engineer Programme (REP) trains graduates to be the Rig Managers of the future. Rig Managers are responsible for the performance, maintenance and utilisation of our highly specialised rig fleet.

Applied Drilling Technology International (ADTI)

ADTI a division of Transocean, specialise in turnkey well drilling and project management. Turnkey is a proven business model whereby ADTI accept the risk of getting the well drilled to the target depth and charges a fixed price to the operator for taking these risks.

ADTI’s Graduate Development Programme (GDP) is an accredited five year development programme allowing motivated graduates to become a valued professional with ADTI. The programme takes graduates through three key career phases to becoming senior engineers responsible for multi million pound well design and construction operations.
